About SlitherSense

The idea for SlitherSense came about many years ago, back in 2016, when two guys who worked for the same startup came together to chat about mutual interests. While we were both excited about the idea at the time, we were at distinct points in our lives where the ability to dedicate time to a new endeavor was lacking. I was about to have my third child, Rei, and juggling a fulltime job and another startup. He was about to move on, both figuratively and literally, in pursuit of his education and career goals.

After 2022, that startup has been acquired and my kids are growing up fast. They see what I do daily where I put together rapid proofs of concept for clients, anything from simple sensors to robots for automation, and they get excited. I wanted to foster that excitement showing them what it takes to start a new business, develop a product and bring it to market. I remembered the SlitherSense idea, we had acquired a Bearded Dragon a year earlier, and I figured, "what the heck? Let's do another one."

SlitherSense LLC was formed in Q3 2022 and the boys and I got to work on a ridiculous amount of code, hardware designs, IT, partnerships, etc.

This blog serves as the primary portal for updates about the service.
